Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones called the team's recent performance an indictment of the whole show following a fifth consecutive loss.

The Cowboys lost 33-30 to the Arizona Cardinals in overtime at AT&T Stadium on Sunday. The result extends a losing streak against the Cardinals that now spans five straight games. Arizona has won 5-0 in the Cowboys' home stadium since it opened in 2009.

Dallas held a 14-point lead in the fourth quarter before allowing three touchdowns. The Cardinals forced a punt to start the extra period. Dallas matched that drive with a three-and-out. Chad Ryland missed a PAT in the final seconds of regulation, which sent the game to overtime. Arizona then kicked a field goal to secure the win.

Jones said the offense's failure was his primary concern. He stated that none of the staff or players were getting it done. Jones said he was not pointing the finger at head coach Brian Schottenheimer. Schottenheimer has coached the Cowboys for two seasons. In that time, the team has been above .500 for only one of 25 weeks.

The defense allowed a 63-yard touchdown run by Tyler Allgeier in the third quarter. It gave up three more scoring drives in the fourth. One of those drives covered 80 yards in 63 seconds. The Cardinals had no timeouts remaining on that drive.

Quarterback Dak Prescott completed 19 of 29 passes for 195 yards. The running game averaged 2.4 yards per carry. Javonte Williams had 56 yards on 24 carries. He had rushed for a career-high 155 yards in the previous game against Philadelphia.

Schottenheimer said the team played well in the first half but poorly in the second. He said the staff needs to review the film and learn from the mistakes. Prescott said talk is cheap and the team must write its own story. Jones said the team failed to put their kicker in a position to win. He called the performance a criticism of everybody concerned.
