The short film 'Love Zurri' has received two Telly Awards, one for directing and one for social impact. The project centers on the experience of raising a child with autism. It was produced by Mohammed Williams, who also serves as the lead actor.

Williams stated that the story originated from his own family life. He noted a gap in media representations of autism, where fathers are frequently absent from the narrative. According to Williams, mothers typically have access to extensive support networks, such as mom groups, that are not readily available for fathers. He sought to address this imbalance by centering the father's perspective in the film.

The director of the film is Okima T. Moore. Williams described the production process as emotionally intense, particularly during a specific scene depicting his daughter, Zurri, appearing to be missing. Williams explained that the scene was drawn directly from a real event in his life. He recalled that the tears he shed during the take were genuine, forcing Moore to stop production temporarily.

Williams views the experience of raising his daughter as a continuing education for himself. He stated that he is learning more from his daughter than she is from him. Specific lessons he identified include developing patience and improving his ability to listen.

Zurri, who is now 10 years old, has watched the completed film. Williams reported that she found the process engaging. He observed that she was active on set, calling out 'cut' and 'action.' Based on her behavior, Williams suggested she may have a future in the arts, citing her creativity.

The film serves as a personal account of fatherhood and neurodiversity. It presents the challenges and rewards of parenting through the eyes of a father rather than a mother. The project has been recognized for its impact on social issues and its cinematic execution.
