The Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Tampa Bay Rays 10-1 in Game 3 of the World Series on Monday night. The victory gives Milwaukee a 3-0 series lead. The Brewers can claim their first World Series title as early as Tuesday night.
Robert Gasser anchored the Brewers' pitching effort in the decisive win. The offense erupted for ten runs, outscoring Tampa Bay by a nine-run margin. This performance extends the Brewers' dominance in the best-of-seven series.
The path to this moment began in the early rounds of the 2026 playoffs. The Brewers defeated the San Diego Padres in three games during the Division Series. They then swept the Los Angeles Dodgers in four games to secure the National League pennant. This marks the Brewers' first World Series appearance since 1982.
Tampa Bay earned its spot in the championship round by defeating the Cleveland Guardians in the American League Championship Series. Junior Caminero hit a home run in Game 6 to seal the AL pennant for the Rays. This is the Rays' third World Series appearance in franchise history and their first since 2020. The team lost to the Philadelphia Phillies in 2008.
Neither franchise has won a World Series title previously. A first-time champion will emerge from this series regardless of which team wins the final game. The stakes remain high for both organizations as they enter the final stretch of the postseason.
Game 4 is scheduled for Tuesday, October 27, at 8 p.m. Eastern Time. The matchup will be held at the Rays' home field. The game will air on Fox, Fox Deportes, and fubo. If the series extends, Game 5 will take place on Wednesday, October 28, at the same time and on the same networks.
Game 6 is set for Friday, October 30, in Milwaukee. Game 7, if necessary, is scheduled for Saturday, October 31, also in Milwaukee. Both potential later games are set for 8 p.m. Eastern Time. The broadcast rights remain with Fox, Fox Deportes, and fubo for these final contests.
The Brewers have won the first three games of the series. They beat the Rays 3-2 in Game 1 and 5-4 in Game 2. The 10-1 score in Game 3 marks the largest margin of victory in the series so far. The next pitch will be thrown tomorrow evening in Tampa Bay.
