The NFL, Apple Music, and Jay-Z announced on Monday that the rapper will perform the Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show. The event is scheduled for Feb. 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
Jay-Z's production company, Roc Nation, has managed the halftime show since 2019. The firm recently signed a five-year extension to keep the role through 2029. Since taking over, the shows have featured more hip-hop and rap artists, including Bad Bunny, Lady Gaga, and Ricky Martin at last year's game in Santa Clara, California.
This will be Jay-Z's first Super Bowl halftime performance. He has previously worked with the league and several past performers, such as Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar. Those artists appeared during the 2022 show in Los Angeles, which also included cameos by 50 Cent and Anderson .Paak.
The rapper is currently on tour to mark the 30th anniversary of his debut album, Reasonable Doubt, and the 25th anniversary of The Blueprint. The 25-time Grammy winner began the Jay-Z 30 Tour in July with three nights at Yankee Stadium.
He performed two shows in London and one in Paris in September. His final scheduled dates were Oct. 23 and 24 at SoFi Stadium. These recent concerts effectively serve as a rehearsal for his upcoming Super Bowl set at the same location.
