Houston Rockets fans watched their team remain unbeaten on Wednesday night after a 132-100 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks. The win improves Houston's record to 5-0, while Milwaukee falls to 1-4. The margin of victory was the largest of the season so far, capped by a shooting performance that left little room for debate.

Fred VanVleet led the way with 24 points, hitting seven of his 14 shots and four of nine from beyond the arc. Amen Thompson contributed 23 points on 10-of-16 shooting. Kevin Durant added 18, and Bogdan Bogdanovic provided 16 in just 15 minutes of action. The team finished with a 54.8% field goal percentage and converted 23 of 26 free throw attempts.

Houston built the lead in the second quarter, outscoring Milwaukee 34-14. That run gave the Rockets a 57-35 advantage at halftime. Clint Capela extended the gap to 22 points with a tip-in, and VanVleet scored 15 straight points midway through the third quarter to push the lead to 20.

The Bucks struggled from deep, hitting only four of their 24 three-point attempts in the first half. They also made just one of their two free throw attempts during that span. Tyler Herro led Milwaukee with 23 points, while Jaime Jaquez Jr. added 19.

Injuries limited the roster for both sides. Houston center Alperen Sengun, who averages 24.5 points per game, sat out with low back soreness. Steven Adams missed the game with a right calf strain, and guard Marcus Smart continued to rest with a left forearm strain. The Rockets travel to Dallas on Friday for NBA Cup play, while Milwaukee hosts Cleveland on Saturday.
