A Newark man has been taken into custody in connection with a string of overnight burglaries at Dunkin' Donuts stores across northern and central New Jersey, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.

Enajaim E. Bowman, 24, was arrested after a coordinated investigation involving several law enforcement agencies, the prosecutor's office said in a statement.

Authorities say Bowman was tied to 14 burglaries and one attempted burglary at Dunkin' locations in Bergen, Middlesex, Morris and Union counties. The incidents occurred between December 2024 and January 2025, a span of roughly two months.

Investigators determined that the suspect broke into the stores during overnight hours by prying open doors and windows. Once inside, he allegedly went after cash registers, safes and office areas.

Detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Crime Reduction Unit worked with local police departments in multiple jurisdictions. Together they reviewed surveillance footage and used it to link the break-ins, which ultimately led investigators to identify Bowman as the suspect.

According to authorities, the burglaries netted more than $18,000 in cash and gift cards. Damage to the businesses was estimated at $10,000. Among the hardest-hit locations were stores in Edison, Hackensack, Lodi and Paramus, along with others.

Bowman was formally charged on February 11, 2025, with multiple counts of burglary, theft and criminal mischief. Authorities say he surrendered to law enforcement on February 25, 2025, and was taken into custody without incident.

He was subsequently remanded to the Bergen County Jail while he awaits a court appearance in Hackensack.

Law enforcement officials said they are continuing to examine whether Bowman may be connected to additional commercial burglaries in the region.
