Anthropic submitted regulatory documents on Monday to list its shares on the Nasdaq Global Select Market. The San Francisco company plans to use the ticker symbol ANT. This filing sets the stage for a Wall Street debut next month that could surpass previous records for stock sales.
Reports indicate the offering could raise up to 100 billion dollars. If realized, this amount would exceed the 86 billion dollars raised by SpaceX during its initial public offering in June. The final valuation and price per share remain undecided, but private investors valued the firm at 965 billion dollars earlier this year. New estimates suggest the company could reach a valuation of 1.5 trillion or 2 trillion dollars.
A 335-page document filed with regulators shows the company’s financial performance. Anthropic reported a net loss of 80.7 billion dollars in the first half of 2026. That figure represents a sharp increase from the 13 billion dollar loss recorded in the same period of 2025. The company behind the chatbot Claude continues to grow revenue but has not yet turned a profit.
Dario Amodei serves as chief executive officer of the five-year-old startup. His sister, Daniela Amodei, is a co-founder. Both leaders stand to increase their personal wealth by billions of dollars through the public sale. Dario Amodei recently wrote an essay arguing for slower development in advanced artificial intelligence models. He warned that such systems could pose an existential threat to humanity.
The listing would place Anthropic among the most valuable public companies in the world, comparable to Tesla. It would also allow the company to raise capital for its expansion efforts. OpenAI is expected to go public in a similar blockbuster debut, creating a direct market rivalry between the two leading AI labs.
The company’s filing confirms its intention to join the Nasdaq. The documents detail the risks associated with high growth and heavy losses. Investors will soon decide if they will back a firm with massive spending and a potential valuation of 2 trillion dollars.
